pinch pot cut in half
Reflection:
this was my first ever pinch pot ever and I think it was a good start to building pinch pots. there wasn't really any air bubbles, but I should have made it more even all around.
Useful pinch pot
Reflection:
this piece was my real first ever pinch pot, by that I mean one I didn't break. I think it came out pretty good, the only thing is that its kind of small and a little bit rough. I wish I would have smoothed it out more and made it bigger, otherwise pretty good.
pinch pots put together
Reflection:
I really like this piece of mine, my favorite part about it is the blue and how shiny it is. one thing I would change is spending more time on smoothing it out and really making the shape.
DOUBLE DIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relief tile
historic context:
The Easter Island heads, or moai, are large stone statues created by the Rapa Nui people between the 13th and 16th centuries. They represent ancestral figures and were placed on platforms for religious and political purposes. The statues symbolize power and spirituality but were toppled over time due to societal and environmental changes.
Reflection:
this is one of my favorite pieces that I've made, the Easter island heads have always fascinated me and it was really fun to make. one thing I wish I did better was the glaze job, I got a bit sloppy and I didn't do enough coats
reflection:
I really like this piece, I would say that relief tiles are my favorite things to make, I really like carving and adding clay to make something cool. the only critique that I have for the piece is how its a bit rough, I need to work on smoothing out my pieces
